sortable tables in articles

I have a website for a golf society that has a merit table listing how many point players got at each venue but cannot sort columns into highest score/lowest via any of the article editors. I have got modules/plugins that allow anyone on the front end to do this but my client wishes to only be able to do this in the back end like he could when he used dreamweaver, or as in ms word... any way to do this?

You COULD display the tables via a content plugin within articles using Fabrik, client could sort in back end.
It would require data entry into MySQL tables.
Don't HACK the Joomla! core, Instead "Extend" and/or "Override."
Stay ON the update path.
