Making/Removing a post as Sticky or Announcement

I have full admin access to our 2.5 Joomla based website but can't remember how to make a post a sticky or how to remove it from being a sticky. I've gone into the admin area but just can't figure it out. Can someone provide a little quick direction? Thank you in advance for the help.
