Issue with cache folder accessibility

Hello everyone. I have Smart Slider plugin installed on my Joomla website and recently it has thrown an error on the main page shutting down the whole website: "Cache folder is not writable". Although I fixed it by changing the "/media/nextend/" folder access to 755 some time (couple hours I guess) later the same error occurred because accessibility settings have restored back to 555 as it was before the changes I made and I wonder why. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It happened again. The access rights have changed back to 555 due to some mystery. What can it possibly be?
