How to Stop Sending Emails from Joomla!

How did you guys stop it ?
I see no way to switch off emails in global config.
It only shows send mail or php mail or smtp.

There is no option for SWITCH OFF EMAIL SENDING

This is the Joomla 3.x forum. For help with 2.5, you have to post in the 2.5 forum.
