Critical error message

The website has started getting the 'Critical Error: Insufficient memory.....' (screenshots below) on some of the webpages and not others. I don't know how or why this has happened as nothing of any significance has been changed on the website recently.

Increase the memory limit in php on the server. 14M is not much.

I'd also consider moving to a more recent joomla version - 2.5 has not been supported for 9 years.

Per Yngve Berg - Is it the php.ini file that I have to edit ?

AMurray - I need to learn Joomla a bit more before I attempt that.
