I recently complained to my (shared) hosting provider that it was taking between 8 and 10 seconds to load a J2.5 website I have taken over from a previous developer.
The feedback was helpful in so much that they ran an strace to see what the output showed.
We noted that an entry in the output is repeated many times:
The 3943847913 increments.
Code: Select all
access("/etc/pki/nssdb/.3943847913_dOeSnotExist_.db", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
Does anyone know what this means and if it is something I need to address within the J25 environment?
We have, in passing, trashed unused Modules and disabled unused plugins, removed unused templates, deleted unused Components and Packages. So, I think we have slimmed the system into a healthy state already.
