Problem with multilanguage site title

Post by n0Ob » Sat Jan 18, 2014 1:09 pm

I am trying to build a news portal. Most of the work is done. My site contains Bangla language as site language. The portal is working fine with both language, but with Bangla it breaks title of every page. Here are the codes from index.php

For Bangla:
URL

Code: Select all

url: http://localhost/newsportal/index.php/bn/
Code:

Code: Select all

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="bn-bd" lang="bn-bd">
<head>
<base href="http://localhost/newsportal/index.php/bn/" />
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="keywords" content="newsportal" />
<meta name="author" content="Administrator" />
<meta name="description" content="Bangla News Portal" />
<title></title>
<link href="/newsportal/templates/news7/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/newsportal/media/system/css/modal.css" type="text/css" />
For English:
URL

Code: Select all

url: http://localhost/newsportal/index.php/en/
Code:

Code: Select all

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en-gb" lang="en-gb">
<head>
<base href="http://localhost/newsportal/index.php/en/" />
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="keywords" content="newsportal" />
<meta name="author" content="Administrator" />
<meta name="description" content="Bangla News Portal" />
<title>Home</title>
<link href="/newsportal/templates/news7/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/newsportal/media/system/css/modal.css" type="text/css" />
Joomla version: 2.5.17
SEF enabled

Any idea how to fix this?

Are you using any SEO related Plugin?

What you do have in the option "Browser Page Title" that is available in the tab/slide "Page Display Options" of the menu item Home of the language Bengali?

If you do not have anything in this option, try to enter some value and see what happens.

No seo plugin installed. I did enter "home" at "Browse page title" in Page display option for Bangla home menu. Nothing happens. :(
