Using 3 installations for 3 languages

Hi there,

Because it saves me time (and money for my client) we think its easier to just copy the Joomla 2,5 site 3 times in subfolders and then put links with country flags redirecting the user to the other languages.
This seems faster than redigning the original site to have multiple languages and menus in the backend.

Does anyone know a plugin that enables these country flags on the frontpage, and the ability to link to a subfolder like this:

http://www.mysite.com
http://www.mysite.com/german
http://www.mysite.com/english

Is this possible with the existing built in language module?

No, it is not possible with the existing Language Switcher module.

You could review the extension Language Domains (http://extensions.joomla.org/profile/ex ... ge-domains).

Note: As per the documentation, the extension is compatible with Joomla! 3. It is not clear whether a Joomla! 2.5 compatible is version is available. Suggest getting in touch with the developer of the extension.

Be informed that Joomla! 2.5 is no longer supported.
