Joomla 1.6 searching and title?

Hi all,

I made a website in Joomla 1.6 ages ago and am looking for some help on how it is showing in google searches. If you search for auroraspy in google it appears top of the first page however I cant work out how to remove the site url from the title and the links underneath.

The site title in google shows as -

Track northern lights & aurora borealis Scotland UK. - www.AuroraSpy ...

How can I make this just -

Track northern lights & aurora borealis Scotland UK

Also I want to remove the headings underneath the main title - www.auroraspy.co.uk, Joomla!, Sample Data-Articles etc?

Any help would be appreciated

Mod. Note: Relocated the topic to the Joomla 2.5 Forum.

Joomla 1.6 was the first release of the 2.5 series with a life span of six months back in 2011.
Joomla 2.5 went EOL in December 2014.

The current version is 3.7.5.

It's a miracle that you have not been hacked long ago.

Have you checked the SEO settings in Global Configuration?

Sorry, but I do not remember if the "Show Site Name in Site Titles" option was present in 1.6.

I would suggest first upgrading to the latest version of Joomla first which has lot of new features and then do the SEO stuff as you will be better equipped to do it then.
