plugin pagenavigation.php override

Post by waarnemer » Wed Nov 02, 2011 9:38 pm

the following plugin; "/plugins/content/pagenavigation/pagenavigation.php" creates some output;

Code: Select all

<ul class=pagenav>
   <li class=pagenav-prev> .... </li>
   <li class=pagenav-next> .... </li>
</ul>
For design reasons I want to change this in;

Code: Select all

<div class=pagenav>
   <div class=pagenav-prev> .... </div>
   <div class=pagenav-next> .... </div>
</div>
Now I can do this in the core file but I actually want to do this in my template files.
I know of template overrides, components en modules... but I cannot find any on how to achieve this for a plugin. Copying the path and file to the TEMPLATE/HTML folder did not work...

Is there someone who knows?

Hi,

Try copy pagination.php file from your_root_folder/administrator/templates/hathor/html/ and place it in your_root_folder/templates/your_template/html then modify this file to change output HTML code.

Cheers,

Hi waarnemer,

Actually, output overrides for plugin hasn't been supported yet and the only solution is to edit file pagenavigation.php in plugins folder, you can find more info here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=1605175

Hope this help.

I just updated a template from joomla 2.5 to joomla 3.x and found out that it is NOW possible.

copy the default.php file from plugins/content/pagenavigation/tmpl to templates/[your_template_name]/html/plg_content_pagenavigation/

as mentioned here :pop
