How to completely remove template remnants?

Post by csolar » Fri Feb 13, 2015 3:44 pm

I'm on J2.5.28, doing some housecleaning before the migration to J3.

My site has remnants of some old templates, and I don't know how to completely get rid of them.

If I go to Template Manager:Templates, I see entries for Atomic, Beez, Beez_20. I don't use these templates, and would like to purge them from the system.

However, none of these templates show up if I go to Extension Manager:Manage (Templates). All I see there are the two templates that I actually use. Same with Template Manager:Styles -- no trace of the old templates there either.

In the file system under templates/ there are no directories for the old templates.
Still, they show up in the Template Manager.

Anyone know how I can stamp them out for good? Database somewhere?

Chris.

no need to remove it now. You can upgrade and check more. Then you will have new template in joomla 3.x

But if I go ahead with the upgrade (I've tested this offline) the old templates are still there in the Template Manager, and worse, in the Module Manager they are cluttering up the list of module positions. So if I'm editing a module on my J3 test site the position list is full of Beez positions, Atomic positions...

I just want these old templates 100% gone from the system. There must be a way!

can not remove them because site uses some files from it to load layout.
