How to centre a large logo on Purity 2

Post by DorsetJoomla » Mon May 04, 2015 9:38 pm

Hello. I want to put a large image across the top of my site. I know how to set the pixel sizes in the template.css file to show a larger logo image file but how do I then centralise the image? This is a Joomla 2.5 site Thanks

You can use this code:
h1.logo a{
width: 100%;
text-align: center;
}
h1.logo a span{
top: 116px;
}

Thanks for that, I am not really up to speed on CSS so I think that the relevant code looks like this, could you be more specific please? Thanks

h1 { font-size: 180%; }

h1.componentheading, .componentheading { margin: 0; padding: 0 0 7px; }

/* Logo Image ---*/
h1.logo { height: 292px; width: 1380px; }

h1.logo a {
background: url(../images/logo.gif) no-repeat left;
display: block;
height: 292px;
width: 1380px;
}

h1.logo a span { position: absolute; top: -300px; }

h1.logo, div.logo-text { float: left; z-index: 1; position: relative; }

h1.logo, div.logo-text h1 { font-size: 250%; line-height: 1; }
