Unusual behaviour with ja_purity_ii template

Post by stefanaalten » Mon May 18, 2015 2:14 pm

Hi,

I'm experiencing some unusual behaviour using the ja_purity_ii template.

My local site is on Joomla 2.5.25 (I'm preparing for upgrade to 3.x) on XAMPP 5.6.8 on Windows 7-64.

When I try to access my local site via IE (v11) I get an "address is not valid" error, but when I access it via FF (v31.7) the site does display, but with some issues. Snapshot 1 shows that a frame is displayed in the left margin but the contents can't be displayed (I don't know how the frame has got there, or what it is trying to show), and that the left and right margins of the articles - with the exception of the "Leading article" - are cut off.

Strangely, when I right-click on the frame in the left margin and select "view page in IE tab" (snapshot 2), the page is displayed correctly in the IE tab in Firefox browser, i.e. without the frame in the left margin, and with the article margins not cut off (see snapshot 3)!

Can anyone please help?

Many thanks!

Stefan

Hi,

I identified that the frame in the left margin was being displayed because the Wrapper module was enabled. After disabling the Wrapper module, my site now displays in both FF and IE.

However, I still have the issue of the left and right margins of articles, with the exception of the leading article on each page, being cut off.

Can anyone help?
