Uninstall Akeeba not complete ::Plugin Uninstall: Manifest file invalid or not found.

Hi!

I installed akeeba backup but want to remove if before I attempt a migration to 3. Two parts of the Akeeba installation were removed successfully but we are stuck with the "System - Akeeba Backup Update Check". Attempts to remove this result in the Manifest file invalid or not found error.

How do we manually remove this part of Akeeba backup?
