Health check on hacked site

Post by feste » Wed Nov 19, 2014 11:31 am

http://Nynehead.o%20rg was hacked recently; a css.php file was inserted into the beez5 template's css directory. No idea what it did apart from make the host "disable this site as it was found to be using a large amount of server runtime resources."

I have rebuilt the site and checked it with WebInspector [from webinspector.com] and MalwareScanner [from quttera.com] both of which reported all ok. I also installed something from Google Webmaster Tools - but not at all sure if correctly or what, if anything, it does. I was hoping for something simple like "SCAN NOW" but no such luck.

Since doing the above I ran FPA earlier today and have the report. If I posted the report here, would it be possible to tell from that whether the website is clean?

Thanks for any advice.

"disable this site as it was found to be using a large amount of server runtime resources."

So, just let your hosting provider show details process with large runtime resources, so you can check based on it.

Posting the fpa would assist in telling us. Following checklist 7 is more useful
