Pop ups on Website Links

Post by garlicpatch » Wed Apr 29, 2015 11:56 am

Hello,

I am using Joomla 2.5.4. Website: http://foodpedalers.ca

After making numerous updates to our site, clicking on links on the main menu items on the site causes a new tab to open to a "make money quick" website - which we obviously do not want!

I imagine this occurred when enabling a new module, though with that module disabled I see it is still happening. Is there any way to trace where the source of such a thing would be?

I have only one extension active and it is up to date. I see no way to update modules on Joomla 2.5.4.

I have actually now removed the module I thought was the problem but the problem still persists...

can ou post your PFA forum post assistant results, link at top of forum with instructions,
i downloaded the module you are apparently using for your slideshow fro the first NON developer site i found, it contained a load of base 64 coded linksveg

Code: Select all

$wfk='PGRpdiBZy8iIHRpdGxlPSJKb29tbGEiIHRhcmdldD0iX2JsYW5rIj5Kb29tbGE8L2E+CjwvZGl2Pg=='; echo base64_decode($wfk);
which resolves to

Code: Select all

<div style="position:absolute;top:0;left:-9999px;">
<a href="spam.site"  target="_blank">spam.site</a>
<a href="http://spam.site" title="Joomla" target="_blank">Joomla</a>
</div>
