Joomla keep showing home page whenever I navigate to any article

Post by ali_m » Mon Dec 26, 2016 10:21 pm

I have moved Joomla 2.5 from local WAMP server to my website which runs under windows OS with Apache server installed, home page is loading successfully but whenever I choose any article I got the URL changed in browser's address bar but it keeps showing me the home page. I checked permissions, the configuration file is writable and successfully connects to database also all articles and categories are shown in administrator area, PHP 5.2.17, Any suggestions ?

I'd recommend renaming your .htaccess file back to htaccess.txt, and disabling SEF URLs in your Global Configuration. If doing this allows your pages to load correctly, you've got an issue with SEF URLs (potentially your htaccess file has a rewrite rule that is wonky).

On an unrelated note, I'd recommend upgrading your PHP version to 5.6.x if you can, as 5.2 is very out of date and probably insecure in a production environment.
