Moving Joomla 2.5.28 to new server, default homepage whole time

Hi,

i have a problem, hosting that i was renting for my website for couple years decided to close the bussines, now im forced to move it to another host provider, i already bought new server, backup my mysql database, downloaded the whole site from the old server, uploaded it to the new server, set up configuration.php file with the new database etc. and after everything, all i got is the default homepage, it looks like just a clean installation of joomla. Same situation happening with Akeeba, installation goes right but after all i still got that default homepage :/

Any ideas what is wrong?

Could you check the differences in server software?
The old server runs on PHP/5.5.38
The new server might be using PHP7.

Joomla 2.5 = outdated and might not work 100% correctly with the new PHP7.
In this case I suspect that the template that you are using, uses a template frame work that works with plugins,
and is probably not compatible with new PHP7. Therefore the site uses the default Joomla template instead.
The menu modules have been configured to work with the module position of your own template, and therefore you don't see them in the Joomla template.

Hi, thanks for your answer, i checked PHP version on hosting panel of the new server, it says that's PHP 5.6.
