Invalid argument \joomla\language\language.php in GoDaddy

Post by HWagner » Thu Oct 11, 2012 12:00 pm

Hi all,
I have a Windows shared hosting account with support for PHP.
The root is an ASP.NET web application, and the sub folders are other applications, one of them is Joomla 2.5.4.

I am trying to install Joomla 2.5.7 in a new sub folder, but keep getting this error:
Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in \\phx3.gdhosting.gdg\p3nwhg522\hosting\.....\joomla\language\language.php on line 1315
in the first step of the installation (Select Language).

I tried to delete all the files and upload again, several times using FileZilla and alternatives. The files were extracted using WinZip, 7Zip.
Write permissions were given to all the sub directory.

Print Screen is attached.

Please help!

TIA
HW.

[Mod note: Moved from Installation Forum to IIS Installation Forum; ]
To help you, in the future, find the correct forum for your topic please read the Which forum to post your question that I have put together.

Please run the Forum Post Assistant to provide the information to help us try and resolve the issue.
Please follow the instructions in the post and the program pack closely.

When you have attempted the reinstallation is this with a fresh download of Joomla? Just in case the issue is with the original package? Are these downloaded directly from Joomla (joomlacode.org)?

Thanks for the reply and putting it under the right topic.
The packages were fresh from joomlacode.org and from joomla.org.il (I read that there is no difference since 2.5.7 as the language pack is built in), print screen is attached.
Both downloads were 2 days ago.

I will run the FPA

Hi
As I am a GoDaddy customer, I thought to take advantage of their application installation service (they offer you to install via the administration panel of your account popular PHP and .NET applications, Joomla 2.5.7 is one of them).
So I've deleted my website and pointed the GoDaddy's installation there.

The website was installed, but at the administration page of the fresh installed Joomla, I got the same error as before. I guess that this is a bug in the version.

A print screen is attached.

GoDaddy fixed it somehow.
They've mentioned something about aliased domain.
