Joomla 2.5 Error / Blank Page

Hello !

I'm working on a local host with Joomla 2.5.7.

Everything was fine until I uploaded the plug-in image resize. (from joomlacode.org) - if it is not a coincidence.

Now in the frontend and the backend I have everything working properly, but when I go deeper in the menus, I got a blank page, both in the frontend and the backend.

Backend eg. : until articles, but when I try to access an article or create a new one, I got a blank page.
(this is the overall case throughout backend.)

Frontend eg. : I can see the main page, but when trying to access any menu item, I got a blank page.

And also for Global Configuration page.

I also tried to disable the plug-in, but I got a blank page.

I also restarted everything.

I will be happy if anyone can help me.

I handled the problem, it is resolved. Sorry very new to Joomla !

I read through the forum and I saw that blank page was a php error, and the reason for it was plugin in-compatibility. I did not know that. I think the plugin I uploaded was an old version.

I'm working on local host, so I went to my MAMP and to myphpadmin, find the plugin and deleted it, now everything is working fine.

For future reference you should simply locate the plugin the database table and change the variable enable to 0.
Then assuming you can once again access the Administrator correctly you can then uninstall the Plugin correctly from the Extensions ⇒ Plugin Manager.
You should always create a backup of the site and database first before taking the sort of action you did.
Also just to make sure everything is correctly resolved:

1. Make sure the database has been updated to reflect the changes from the change(s)
   1. Go to the Extensions=>Extension Manager->Database tab
   2. CLICK the Fix button (top right toolbar).
2. Also , make sure that you clear the Joomla cache files.
   1. Go to Extensions=>Extension Manager->Updates tab
   2. CLICK Purge Cache
3. Report back with the outcome.

You might also consider using Discover tab
Click Discover just to make sure nothing else is "lurking" in the shadows.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I located the plugin from the database, but I deleted it instead. For future, I will keep that in mind.
I was just working on a test site, just doing some exercises, so it was not a big problem, but I will take backup more seriously now.

I have now followed the steps, you advised. And after purge cache I got this 'Purged updates, 1 disabled site was enabled'.
Is it about history or purge cache did this ?

I hope it is something good !

And for discover, in the list, it publishes this plugin which was the problem. I guess it does not mean, it still exists, I checked the plugin list, it was not there.
