Joomla Admin Does Not Login - Keeps Refreshing Page Topic is solved

Folks -

I am working on a client's 2.5 site. I have all the credentials correct. However, when I click the Login button, it simply refreshes the page and goes back to the form.

Are any PHP notices, warnings, errors or other messages displayed when you try to login or browse the site otherwise?

You should ask your host to enable PHP error messages to be written into a file, instead of /dev/null.

Check if the Console tab in the Web Developer tools has any javascript errors, which may cause issues.

Cache needs to be cleared in Joomla and the browser, together with cookies. Some templates and frameworks have their own caching system. You could also drop all rows from the session table in the database, just in case.

What finally worked was changing cache to "none".

While I have same problem - didn't want to create a new thread.
Still clearing cache folder didn't help me.
@reuelsample, in what file did you change cache to "none" so it helped?
Also I noticed that inside database used by website, there is no "password" line for users...
