Error upgrading Joomla 2.5.7 to 2.5.8

Hi,
I was working on a website I built a while ago with Joomla 2.5.7.
I saw in the control panel a message that the site needs to be updated to 2.5.8 so I pressed the link and the site has been downgraded to 2.5.24 and the following message appears:

Duplicate column name 'ordering' SQL=ALTER TABLE `jos_languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;

ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;

I pressed the link and the site has been downgraded to 2.5.24

The site was not downgraded, it was upgraded to the latest 2.5 version, 2.5.24.

Go to Extension Manager - Database and click the button Fix in the top right hand corner. That will add the new columns to the tables.

Remember to clear the cache.

I'm a bit worried about clearing my cache - see screenshot attached - do you think it should be ok?

Clearing the cache from the server is a safe operation. The purpose of cached contents is to avoid generating the same content repeatedly, which makes the server respond faster.

It is important to clear the cache from your browser to avoid problems with obsolete javascript files in the back end.
