Upgrade from Joomla_1.6.0-Beta1 to Joomla_1.6.0-Stable
Is there an easy way to upgrade from Joomla_1.6.0-Beta1 to Joomla_1.6.0-Stable?
I wonder if I can simply overwrite the files by ftp.

Once I start asking questions, I usually find the answers myself.

There are also database changes you'll need to perform. In the installation/sql/mysql directory are copies of files from between the various releases that you'll need to run on your database, otherwise, you'll run into other issues.

I better make a backup first!
I can see those files are called:
joomla_update_16ga.sql
joomla_update_16beta2.sql
joomla_update_16beta13.sql
joomla_update_16beta14.sql
joomla_update_16beta15.sql
I can open those files using notepad, copy the content
go to phpmyadmin
go to the database
go to tab sgl
paste the content there
Then by ftp overwrite beta by stable version.
After that, you are sure my Joomla-1.6 is as good as build new?

Anything which comes after this Stable release, I think, we can upgrade normally with files overwrite.
Is that right ?

For patches to 1.6 (1.6.1, 1.6.2, etc.) this will indeed be the case. The same method as used on 1.5.

Actually, you can use the Extension Manager's Update option to do your core updates too. Same with extensions which support it.

Tonie said, its going to be same as we used to do in Joomla 1.5 and Mbabker says, we can do core upgrades from Update Manager.
So, which one is correct ?

Both.
The new method of using the Update Manager is intended to make it easier for users to do upgrades. The tried method of replacing files will still work.

Update joomla 1.6 to 1.6.x from Update Manager could be a great thing... but... is it true?
