Upgrade problem

Post by jefbarker » Mon Jan 24, 2011 5:26 am

Upgrading from 1.522 to 1.6 host:godaddy windows

unziped all the 1.6 and copied them over 1.522, using the same (previous with MySql permissions, etc) configuration file.

trying to use the web install and get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in D:\Hosting\699\html\joomla\templates\beez_20\error.php on line 11

Any suggestions on where this is coming from?

An upgrade is not as simple as that. Right now the best is to copy a full 1.5 installation (minus the installation directory) over your current installation. The migration procedure can be found here: http://docs.joomla.org/Tutorial:Migrati ... Joomla_1.6
