Migrating from 1.5 to 1.6 - mostly a mess, but am getting it sorted out. But I do have one problem that I don't know what is wrong.

My front page gives me an Error 404 - Component not found. Okay, fine, something got lost in the migration. But WHAT? It would be nice if it would at least slap me up side the head and point me to the general direction. Or is it looking for something call 'Component' ?

don't go to the home page ... it's still index.html till I get this all figured out.

.
Migrating with jUpgrade often results in no Home page link.
Check that a Home menu item exists, or create a new menu item and set it as the Home page default.

Manually checking some links shows your content appears to be there.

You should also turn-off SEF URLs while trying to reconfigure your new J1.6 website.
This just adds another layer of potential complications to confuse the issues.
Unfortunately J1.6 turns-on SEF URLs by default on installation (which is really dumb).

Why is this posted in the J1.6 Templates forum?
Note: I am going to ask a moderator to move this thread to the J.16 Migrating forum.

Bravo! And thank you for an unambiguous response that WORKED!

Sorry about the mis-post to the wrong topic area - I didn't realize till just now that I had made that error. Thanks again...
