Upgrading 1.5 to 2.5 Database issues

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my joomla 1.5.26 to joomla 2.5.19 with Jupgrade. The program does the migration but i had problems in the database:

- Jupgrade created correctly all the j25_tables, even created full of data all his own tables, like jupgrade_menus, but jupgrade didn't insert any data into the j25 tables, like j25_users, j25_menu etc.

For example to enter in the new administration panel I had to create a new user manually in the database.

I know is easiest to create a joomla from scratch, but the website has a lot of content so I need to keep it by all means.

Try using J2XML to migrate from 1.5 to 2.5. It is a good tool. Keep in mind that it has its quirks, but it does work and it is somehow better than jUpgrade.

Hi again,

I'm been trying to use the j2xml, I had exported structure and users, but when I tried to export the articles (I have in total like 3000) I had problems:

First I fixed a depracated error in one .php file but i can't fix the next error:

Undefined variable: export_users in E:\wamp\www\eg\administrator\components\com_j2xml\views\content\view.raw.php on line 58

Try disabling error reporting on your Joomla website and see if that address the problem.
