adding a site as a subdirectory on GoDaddy [resolved ]

Post by ncwebdude2 » Tue Aug 16, 2016 3:15 pm

After installing Joomla 2.5.28 as a subdirectory (moving it from its own hosting site) on another server. The new server is a cPanel the old was the proprietary Godaddy) the home page is working fine but the new menu for the 'subsite' always goes to the host site's Home page. I have reviewed the configuration.php and the .htaccess but need to know how to get the menu selections to function. I will update to Joomla 3.6.x as soon as I get the 2.5.28 to work.

Solved: I had to add the subdirectory to the .htaccess. Rewrite base /newsite
