Joomla website in Bengali Language

Hello,

How can I make a website where on the front-end everything will be on bengali?

Need urgent help.

I believe that you would like to build the site in Bengali using Joomla! 3.

There are two parts to it.

(a) The system messages have to be in Bengali. This could be accomplished by installing the Bengali language pack. However, I notice that the Bengali language pack is available for Joomla! 2.5. You could install this language pack. However, some of the language strings would be missing and some wrong translations due to the language strings values got changed.

(b) The content has to be in Bengali. There is an extension named Indic Writer (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... dic-writer) that would help you to type in Bengali. However, that extension is only compatible with Joomla! 2.5. you could get in touch with the developer to make it 3.x compatible.

What you could do is to use the Google Input Tools (https://www.google.com/inputtools/windows/) to achieve this. Once this tool is installed, no what the application is (e.g., Joomla!, Word, Excel, Email), wherever there is a field to enter a value, you could type the text in the native language (ie. Bengali). This is mainly a Transliteration tool.
