I posted our site in the Main Site Showcase thread but gusto ko rin sanang makuha attention ninyo. (Additional traffic baga )

It was a quest to depart from a conventional design of "banner on top-- boxes left and right design". Though not yet quite to my ideal, our designer came up with this concept while I did the conversion to Joomla Template. Here it is!
Oh how I wish Joomla is capable of some AJAX, this site could have been better! But I say this is already good particularly the E-store based on Virtuemart. Pardon some of the site's grammatical errors. I'm a Filipino and my boss is an Austrian.
Ano masasabi nyo mga kapatid? di pa tapos ung remository. Pero siguro ok na rin ipagmalaki. hehe!

1. hmmn.. you missed seeing joomla is capable of ajax. aside from that, joomla is also capable of SiFR, complete tabless (100% CSS based) template.
ajax -> http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo. ... ja_capella
SiFR -> http://lonemamber.com/
100% tabless -> http://www.fabrik1design.de/
for js based elements(havent tried integrating in our projects BUT soon will :
mo.fx prototype js --> http://moofx.mad4milk.net/tests.html
2. the design looks like the cartoon jetsons ehehe. cutie though.
3. bigger part of the internet browsers looks for the menu links at the top.. so im sure lots will loss atention that the main menu links are at the bottom.
4. i suggest you make your favicon.ico
5. most people are lazy to scroll on scroll bars.. if its possible you might mind about making the contnet area's lenght longer or bigger.. to avoid much of the scroll bar. you see if you browse on the catergories of the VM, you even get scroll bar in the bottom..
overall nice site! keep it up.

Re: www.ion.ph with a Windows-like Interface
Thanks for the suggestions. From the first link you gave, which part of the template is using AJAX? Of course we can make Joomla capable of AJAX but it's not inherent to joomla.
I would really love to make it table-less. but the available community-made components use tables. The template itself uses only one table, the other tables are generated by modules and components. I hope you can give me some tips how to make it table less with that design in mind.
Well actually, I don't wanna critisize our designer, it's the best one he can come up with. But the next thing he's doing is much better. It's hard to bring out the best in you if there's someone dictating what you should do. I guess that's what happened to him.
Thanks for the comments. I really need those!

Re: www.ion.ph with a Windows-like Interface
About the table less link you gave, I noticed that the site is using customized components or table-less components I don't know about. Virtuemart is using tables and it's embedded in its code. Remository too. But anyways, I'll improve the template and make it pass against XHTML 1.01 standards.
But I'm quite uninspired by Joomla because its default templates and even this site is not XHTML compliant.
Thanks again.
