Access Control For Users

Post by moteor » Fri Feb 22, 2013 4:57 pm

Hi and thanks for your help -

I have a community sit due to be rolled out soon. It is going to allow access for community groups to log into the back end and edit their section by adding new articles and menu items linking to individual articles like a contact us page or about etc

So the format is like:

Home>Society name>Article(s)
-------------------------->About Us
-------------------------->What We Do
-------------------------->Contact
-------------------------->etc.

There are several different societies and lots of information to sort. I have set up a different category for each society.

I want to grant them access to the back end so they can edit their part of the website, and add menu items (doesn't have to be restricted to their own menu sub item, but if this is possible . . . then preferred!) but restrict access to all other categories so they cannot edit other societies info.

I have tried several plugins, but would prefer it to be done in the core installation.

I was going to set them up as a manager, but there is no access to the add menu feature.

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
