catagory for registered only

Hello,
I want to set in content category with access level "Registered in order to read only registered member specific articles, but it shows 404 error on front end.

are you logged in?
Don't HACK the Joomla! core, Instead "Extend" and/or "Override."

turn off SEF urls and try again.
Don't HACK the Joomla! core, Instead "Extend" and/or "Override."
