Hello Joomlers,

The new year is approaching and soon we will celebrate the 10th birthday of our wonderful Project.
The marketing team would love to gather some interesting ideas from you on how to celebrate this event memorably!

We had something simple but stunning in mind, possibly available in different languages, too.

During our latest marketing meeting we discussed to have for only one day (17th August) a completely new home page that will replace the current joomla.org website.
The page could contain a small story about Joomla, features that make Joomla! a great CMS, an inspiring video (I know you all love the “Mozilla: choose independent” video), nice digital banners and t-shirts designed to download, a list of Joomla! events you should not miss in the next few months and how you can get involved in the Community (possibly linking back to our Volunteer Portal).
After that day, the page will be linked to a banner on the main page (joomla.org)

We think that for a successful campaign/advertisement and a full celebration, we need to find a strong “tagline” that is more than “happy 10-year anniversary”, but tells the world what Joomla! stands for. It must be unique and inspiring, easy to translate into other languages and to use as a hashtag on social media.

We would love to hear from you and for you to help us find even more interesting initiatives that may turn this year into a really special one for the community and act as a way to thank all our users that have supported us throughout the years.

There is no such thing as a bad idea or suggestion. Please help in suggesting ideas to Joomla’s 10 year celebration.

What about something like an e-cake?

Yes. This is something that also Saurabh suggested. Have all a #jcake
But what else can be added around this concept?

Maybe we can have recipe to bake a good #jsite?
So everything could be around the "baking" concept: so we can "bake new ideas".

Something that it is fun, memorable and profound at the same time.

e-cake doesn't sound quite right to me.
I mean...if you can't feel the chocolatey goodness in your mouth, it's not really a cake.
But all of the J! fans baking the same cookies around the world - that's something I'd munch on
So what kind of recipes do we have in mind?

this thing can be become quite viral and "good" in all sense.
We can have a nice recipe to build a great Joomla! wesbite and a nice recipe to bake a great #jcake or #jcookies.

I would love if we could also come with a nice slogan, tagline though.

We were brainstorming this fall you mentioned creating a font for Joomla. I think that is brilliant! Every geek recognizes the Ubuntu font, I love the idea of having our own font.

Sure Jess, that was an idea I had for making Joomla! even more "branded". It would be nice to have it for our 10 years.
The work requires time and professional type designers, although.
Ubuntu font was designed by Dalton Maag. Undoubtedly they have done a great work!
For a Joomla! font, I would love if a professional was interested on designing one for our community and Project.
We may also decide to create a fundraising campaign too. I have few good type designers in mind able to help us in the effort.

what you think of setting up a contest for the creation of new templates to be released on core?

so my definition of e-cake is 10 new beautifull templates
