Joomla users group forum locked

Joomla users group forum locked

Why are all of the forums for the Joomla Users Groups locked?
One would think, for the welfare and overall benefit of the community, that Users Groups should have an internal-to-the-organization to communicate.
Or does the OSM "not affiliated with..." apply literally?

Information about JUGs—where they are located and how to join them—is available on the Joomla! Community Portal. The team responsible for managing JUGs has not used this forum for several years and the forum category was closed to reduce forum clutter and prevent people spamming the forum.
