Email in Spanish from Community magazine!

I just had an email about my privacy consent for the Community magazine - in Spanish. When I followed the link and tried to login I could not.
The email looks perfectly OK in terms of addresses etc. Now I have had a guy with a similar surname to me using my address for various banks etc in Latin America - I know because I get the debt collector threats (obviously they don't validate email addresses)
But seems highly unlikely he would also sing up for the Joomla magazine.
Anyone else had an issue?

Thanks - yes I am very security aware and carefully check all emails and links - I can login normally with my account, but it appears there is a Spanish portal (https://magazine.joomla.org/es) which I cannot log in to but which I presume has my email in it. No harm done - but I would have hoped that whoever signed up to that with my email addr would have had to click a link in an email response which I am 100% confident that they would not have received.

Have you considered your email has been hacked?

Always possible I guess but firstly Google informs me when and where the account has been accessed, and I have seen no suspicious activity. And when I check the email I see no sign that anyone has ever used it - if they have they immediately move stuff to the bin so I cannot see it.
