Thanks, @toivo. I am attaching a screenshot composite of two emails I received three days ago. The email on the right side is the later of the two; I am assuming that the later of these two emails was sent after the forum started using Elastic Mail.

I also note that @mandville mentioned this yesterday (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=981568#p3611734).

I agree with you. The link at the end of the email (highlighted in the above screenshot) is, in my opinion, spam or promoting a service that I'm really not interested in.

Just to update you, we have managed to get rid of that elasticmail link. Can you confirm that the link is no longer available in the notification emails.

I can confirm that

(a) I am receiving emails from the forum;
(b) I removed elasticemail.com and joomla.org from my whitelist;
(c) I have made no other changes to my email service;
(d) this had nothing to do with TCP port 25; and
(e) yes, the promotional link at the foot of the emails from the forum has not appeared on my emails for the past 15 hours.
