Thats great news to have an "App Store". We have implemented it in our product.

Feedback / Expectation :

#1. The major need is involvement of 3rd party commercial extensions and there addons.

#2. JED does not meet the expectation of dev's. and It should not happen to App-Store.

#3 : In app purchase and donation would boost the Joomla economy & motivation.

Great goals!

"Improve our understanding of our users", in my opinion, is one of the forces of the Joomla! project... from the beginning.
