The real problem is that the whole Joomla! project is so much focused on teams, directors, regulations, OSM etc. and not in the product and the development.

This discussion is just evidence for that.

Nothing more to say :(

This thread is for if anyone has any specific questions on legal matters following my blog post responding to legal questions from the community.

I would also appreciate if people consider the need for any questions as it is expensive to run things by our lawyer - i will answer those i can and collect the rest for answers from the lawyers.

So if anyone has any specific questions that is unanswered about legal issues in relation to the new structures being implemented please ask here.

Agreed - would be great if we can spend our time constructively moving forward :)

A question was raised by a community member weather the Insurance also covers volunteers outside of the US since the general Volunteer Protection Act et. al. is all focused on US.

The Insurance company has returned stating that:

"According to the policy under General Terms & Conditions, coverage is extended anywhere in the world. The D&O portion under definitions, an Employee is defined as any natural person whose labor or service is engaged by and directed by the Organization, including any part-time, seasonal, leased or temporary employees or volunteers."

Which translates to that YES anyone volunteering to Joomla from any country on the planet is covered within the policy.

It is good to know that the coverage is worldwide.
So do we have a list of volunteers and details related?
