Hi,

You can use the Joomla_3.2.3-Stable-Update_Package.zip http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsre ... ackage.zip

Or do this update from the joomla admin : Components > Joomla! Update

Its not my site, Im helping a friend that already tried to update using webupdate.
After that the site went all white....

So I have no choice but to do it by FTP I guess.
Backend isnt availabe eather...

(No, he didnt make a backup.)

I actually spoke to the hosting support that restored a backup copy from two days before this happened.
Unfortunately that didnt help at all, still a white page only...

Somebody told me to first update to 3.1.5 but I cant find a file for that ...

Went to Extensions>Extension Manager
Databasschema version (3.1.1) doesnt match CMS version (3.2.3).
Databasuppdate version (3.1.1) didnt match inte CMS version (3.2.3).
Tabell 'joom_content_types' misses column 'content_history_options'. (From file 3.2.0.sql.)
Tabell 'joom_modules' misses column 'asset_id'. (From file 3.2.0.sql.)
Tabell 'joom_postinstall_messages' doesnt exist. (From file 3.2.0.sql.)

Regarding this message Databasscheme version (3.2.3-2014-02-20) doesnt match CMS version (3.2.3) it's only a view issue, don't worry http://docs.joomla.org/J3.2:Database_schema_version_(3.2.3-2014-02-20)_does_not_match_CMS_version_(3.2.3)

Yes it works now. Thank you !! :)
I believe one issue was lack of space on the server, that I now increased.

I also installed Akeeba backup.
One question about Akeeba, whats the difference between using zip or jpa ?
Using jpa generates a lot of files...

Hi,

With akeeba the .jpa format is the one recommended, for more détails between the .zip and .jpa differences for akeeba cf https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentat ... gines.html

Your backup akeeba is a one only big file which not only includes all your files but also your database backup

I change setting from 0.12 to 0 does the trick to make one file only.
Whats the reason to split it up when it a small site ?
Mine is only 15 MB large in total.
Maybe the splitting option is for really large sites...?!

Hi

With all my clients, and different hosts, I have always kept the default akeeba settings, without any worries..

Here are a few infos from the akeeba backup doc : Part size for split archives
Akeeba Backup supports the creation of Split Archives. In a nutshell, your backup archive is spanned among one or several files, so that each of these files ("part") is not bigger than the value you specify here. This is a useful feature for hosts which impose a maximum file size quota. If you use a value of 0Mb, no archive splitting will take place and Akeeba Backup will produce a single backup archive (default).
