Custom User Field - Radio Button Topic is solved

I am trying to set up a custom field on my user registration form.

I set up a radio button and was expecting to see a vertical list of options with the typical radio style button in front of each item in the list. Instead I get a horizontal list of the options bumped up against each other.

The radio selection functionality is working. When I select one option, the previously selected option is deselected. But the look is ugly when there are more than a few options to select from. It even exceeds the bounds of the screen.

I can't find any kind of flag indicating vertical/horizontal. But in the Joomla documentation for custom fields it appears to show a vertical rendering.

Clearly I am missing something. Any help is appreciated.

you need to write some css to align radio.
I think you can use dropdown list to select one, because if there are many radio buttons, they need to have large area div.

I see that creating a "list" element type in Custom Fields allows for the font end user to select from a dropdown.
