Not receiving comment notifications from Jcomments

Post by sdp-webmaster » Wed Apr 21, 2021 2:53 pm

Hello,

We have received notifications of new comments and comment replies from JComments up until last week.

The only variable that I can think of is that we upgraded our PHP but besides that nothing has changed.

Any thoughts?

And when you downgrade the php version you still don't receive notifications?

Are all other email notifications from Joomla working - global config settings are correct, etc?

Can you try one of the other 'mail' methods - SMTP, sendmail, phpmail? Try each in turn?

What joomla version are you using; what PHP were you using, and what version did you update to?

Can you post the FPA report: refer to https://forumpostassistant.github.io/docs/ for instructions.

This might be a hosting issue (a php mail function not activated for example) or it may be that JComments doesn't work with that PHP version (in which case it is the extension issue for which the developer should fix.)
