Can't fix database

Post by Alan Cranston » Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:16 pm

I get this error message:

1054 Unknown column 'new_url' in '#__redirect_links'

Before clicking fix I have:

Table 'henh_redirect_links' has the wrong type or attributes for column 'new_url' with type VARCHAR(2048). (From file 3.5.0-2016-03-01.sql.)
Table 'henh_redirect_links' has the wrong type or attributes for column 'new_url' with type VARCHAR(2048). (From file 3.6.0-2016-04-06.sql.)

What do I do?

Thank you. As may be evident I am very much a beginner when getting in even this deep to the backend. How do I delete those files?

You need to find where they are in your web/server space. I'd start by checking/clearing the contents of your temp folder (all except the index.html file).

If you don't know where your temp folder is then open configuration.php (in your site's root directory) and you'll find the path specified in there.

Alternatively, if you install Admin Tools Core (it's the free version) there's a tool to allow you to check the path to your temp directory and clear the contents.

The checking process should reveal the cause of the problem. If the problem is "marked as crashed," then proceed with the steps. Under Modify Databases, select the database name you're having issues with from the Repair Database dropdown menu.
