Articles slow to load in Chrome

Post by jms323 » Fri May 13, 2022 8:13 pm

Hello,

I'm new to Joomla. Taking over a site from a previous developer/webmaster. Successfully moved the site from his server to a GoDaddy server. Problem I'm having is that some of the older articles take a very long time to load (1-3 minutes). This only seems to be an issue in Chrome. Articles load quickly in Firefox, Safari, and on mobile. According to the site owner, this has been an issue for some time (prior to the migration).

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Welcome to the Joomla forum!

Chrome v101 displays the articles at normal speed here downunder and no unusual delays came up. The Console of Developer tools (F12) shows a number of warnings in yellow, which may possibly slow down access, and the following error about mixed content in red:

Code: Select all

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.newyorkmetsmania.com/index.php/component/k2/item/96-all-stars-can-t-compare-to-50-years-ago' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure frame 'http://rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/cm?t=nymetssite-20&o=1&p=12&l=ur1&category=sports&banner=0GT1N8Y5M5S0A07XTA02&f=ifr&linkID=2MZGQOTRBGKMTIKJ'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
