Error Uploading Documents

Post by LeannaKairua » Fri Sep 30, 2022 1:44 am

We use Joomla for our website (version 3.11.10) and recently we noticed that our site was showing as "Not Secure". Our IT department installed a security cert for the site so it would be secure. However since then none of our users no matter what grouping i.e. administrators or super users can upload any documents. It comes up with an error "Warning failed to move file" and "Unable to upload file". I have changed the size size to the maximum and tried all different file types but none of the 43 people with access to the site can upload anything. Can someone please provide some advice on how to fix please. Leanna

Welcome to the Joomla forum!

How do you upload those documents? Do all of those 43 users access an extension to upload to the site? Which user group do those users belong to?

Did the IT department tighten for example folder permissions when they worked on the server?

Please post the results from the Forum Post Assistant (FPA) by following the instructions at https://forumpostassistant.github.io/docs/ so that our volunteer experts can review the configuration.
