"Select" an Image in Articles is missing on "Images and Links" tab? Topic is solved

is there a way to turn off the ability to "Select" images in the Articles , "Images and Links" tab? It seems it is missing on one of our backends, and don't know how to turn it back on? here showing 2 different backends, one has the Select ability whereas the other is type into the field. Both are Joomla! 3 v3.10.11

thanks for your response. however, it appears that option, only turns on/off the "Images and Links" tab.
it does not solve our problem of "selecting" and image vs having to type it in. not sure if its some other peripheral issue or conflict of some sort that is breaking it, not actually an "option"

Oh, I'm sorry, I was not careful enough. In this case, this is probably goes from the editor or media manager. I came across mention that the reason may be JCE 2.9.31, even if it is not used. Update to 2.9.32 solves the problem. I also want to add that you should not update to JCE 2.9.33 since it contains some problems.

Unfortunately there are no other ideas. Maybe someone else...

I got it working by downgrading the JCE v2.9.30.. we no longer have pro subscription but most likely renew again in the future.
