Save/Close Article Error

Post by roadsider » Tue Jul 18, 2023 2:38 pm

I just upgraded the server to PHP 8.0.29, and now when I create an article and then save and close it, I see this error:

Error
An error has occurred.
0 Call to undefined function iconv()

If I boost error reporting, it shows a 500 error.

The article does, in fact, save and is accessible upon reopening.

The site seems to be functioning normally otherwise.

Using Joomla 3.10.12

Ideas? Thanks.

It could be the template? Does it work with PHP 8.0.x? Do you get the same error if you temporarily switch the template to Protostar?

Can you turn on error reporting/debug and report any additional errors you see?

Turning Error Reporting to Maximum should report detailed errors, not simply an Error 500.

Please use the FPA utility and post the report to this thread.

For some reason the native PHP function iconv() has been disabled in the web server. Ask your host to enable it.
