How to display a folder of PDF files by name in a list.

I had a great number of PDF files, that want them is to show to users in the form of list.

I think some kind of file manager of documents extension can work but not sure which one.

What I want is to put 100s of pdf files in a folder, now how can i show it to users so when they click any it will show up.

I did not want to create a manual link of each and thought there must be some component that can do it automatically.

I have tried jdownloads and Phoca downloads with no success. It may be operator error since I am a newbie.

Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I just looked at Docman and at first look the output appeared to be what I wanted but going through their demo I would still need some hand holding to get it setup.

With Phoca Download you must make an item for each file, but it has a Multiple Add File Button that will do that for all files in folder.

All of the folders/files I want to upload are in a folder on the host. I do not see how to upload from there.

These seem to produce the list, directly from the source folder with the use of a plugin, (short-code) that is inserted into the article (or module). The result should be a somewhat formatted list of files (be it PDFs or anything else).

These two are free; see if they work for you (or are more like what you are looking for).

I also noted you're using EOL Joomla 3 - that may narrow your choices. Suggest updating to J5.

Sorry guys,
Operator error, I was actually using 5.1.1 and putting the PDFs into the wrong folder. Everything is working with Phoca. I am only the grunt for the HOA and the Phoch output was not well received so I will try what was suggested by AMurry and Webdongle.
