RSS Feed for protected content in website

Post by irenuyam » Wed Mar 13, 2024 2:25 pm

Hi.
Is it possible to make an RSS Feed for contents that are only accessible to registered users? We want to incorporate it it in our email campaign platform. So, I need a URL.
I was able to make one for contents that are for general public.
I made a specific menu with "Registered" as access level, category Blog and then I made a module with the same access level.
For the RSS with public content, I just added ?format=feed&type=rss in the URL and it worked.
But for the one for registered only, it didn't work. What should I add in the URL?
Any idea, anyone?
Thanks.

The Client that reads the Feed must be logged in.

Yes, that is what we want.
I switched the access level to public for the RSS menu. I copied and pasted the URL of the RSS menu in another browser. The restricted contents appeared with photo and the intro of the article although there is a button that points out that you have to register to read the whole thing.
But we don't want that there is a possibility of restricted content to be displayed to the public, even if it is just appears as list.

You have set the Menu Item as Public, but left the Article and Category as Registered.

Yes, I set the menu as "Public" and the article and category as is, meaning for specific access level.
What we really want is that the menu not to be "Public". That if I copy and paste the menu URL to another browser the restricted articles will not appear even if it is just a list but that it would require for user to login.
