Hi,
This is because we deleted the framework folder in Joomla 3.4 and moved it to a folder called vendor in line with best practices for composer (https://getcomposer.org/) installed PHP libraries.

In terms of your site it's hard to say exactly what happened. It could be that a 3rd party extension is trying to grab a file from there directly (which is a fault on their site) or you've had a botched update for some reason (try reinstalling the update files from Joomla through the extension manager).

Kind Regards,
George

If Wilsonge's solution doesn't work then for now you could go back to the previous version assuming 3.3.6 by simply downloading and copying the joomla files in your root folder and deleting the installation folder. Or simply don't upload the installer folder but upload everything from J 3.3.6 and copy over the existing files. Your DB will handle this change quite easily.

You cannot downgrade a site once it is updated. Especially in the manner you describe. Such a move will potentially cause issues. The *ONLY* way to downgrade is to restore a backup.
So long and thanks for all the fish.

i've done it yesterday. No problems so far.

what issues do you see down the line? The update log doesn't seem to suggest any significant changes as far as I can see. Perhaps you can enlighten me as I might have missed something from the log.

It really depends on changes made between releases. In general though, downgrading in the method you've described is not something that you should do on your site. It may work right, but can you guarantee that your next update after your "downgrade" will work correctly or that without reverting the database changes (if any) that you won't be introducing errors into your site at a later date?
