img-tag not parsed/ not showing up in frontend

Hej,

I placed an image in an article. The content is saved and I find it in the database, but in frontend the whole image-tag is just not shown up.
The article is loaded in a Newsflash-module.

e.g. text in database:

<div>This is my text. And now follows an image-tag:<br /><img src="documents/images/euflag.png" alt="EU-flag" class="img-responsive" />And some more text ...</div>

…is showing up like this and the parsed sourcecode:

I tried several browser, I tried JCE and Tinymce, I do not work with this Lazyload-thing, the SEF-plugin is active and there is no difference to see while disabling it.
I can call the image directly.

But I got at least three new gray hairs now.

Does anyone has any idea? I can give access by PM.

I am using PHP-Version 7.0.1, Joomla! 3.8.2 Stable.

All other images placed directly in the index (e.g.) are shown.

Is there a difference in the other image files ie:permissions, directories, or case on the server

Thanks for taking care to my problem.
No there is no difference. All 644, some are in the general image-directory, others in template's image-directory ... I tried to reference from several places - just nothing. The modul itself is called in another file, included by php. May this cause the problem?

I am sorry to leave this thread opened. I could not get access to this platform for months. I was told to refresh the rooter ... it did not change anything. I don't know why.
So, now I even do not know, how I solved this problem finally. Sorry for that and thank you for your effort.
