Pagination error after updating to V 3.8.2

Greetings,

The error below now displays in Joomla backend after updating to latest Joomla version. It is the first Version update since I took over administration of the site (V3.6.2) from a development company that my client no longer uses. There is a pagination.php file inside the template's html folder. I'm assuming they have over-ridden the core Joomla pagination.php file so that the template pagination displays.

How do I fix this error and will this be causing issues somewhere else on the site until it's fixed?

libraries/cms/pagination/ no longer exists in Joomla 3.8.2. Check this guide on how to add pagination to your component: https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Developing ... backend/en

Thank you for your reply and the link.

Would you please let me know what specifically I'm supposed to do? I'm not so experienced in this. It seems to be about developing an MVC component - am I adding a pagination component? are there files I need to adjust or add this content to?

If I add pagination to the Joomla component, will the existing pagination override function?

Nonono you do not change anything in Joomla core files. Please post a link to your site. Your template is most likely not compatible with joomla 3.x. I need to see the code

That is not "recently" That is pre-historic

So you have an issue with your Scepa template overrides which is not working properly. Connect with the developer or hire somebody to repair this for you (btw itotopus was right in his post of 11th -12-17)
